How I'm using Primaris Marines.

Postby Darth Hoodie » Sun Jul 02, 2017 11:37 pm

So I have been thinking of how best to use my Primaris Marines and then the Idea hit me like a Commissar's bolt pistol.

I love the Patriots, I love 40k. Bill Belichick is in fact the God Emperor of Mankind who has yet to reveal himself.

So gentlemen please do give a warm welcome to what will soon be the Legeiones Patraie,

As of right now I have.

1 Captain : Belichick "Exalted Hoodie"
2 LTs: Patricia/McDaniels "Hoodie Disciples"
1 Ancient: Scarnecchia "Hoodie Bearer"
4 Intercessor Squads: Mankins/ Light/ Wilfork/ Seymour "Defenders of the Hoodie"
2 Hellblaster Squads: Bruschi/ Hightower "Hoodies Wrath"
2 Inceptor Squads: Edleman/ Brown "Hoodies Reach"

Other Notable Additions will include.
1 Libby: Brady "Chief Mindf****r"
1 Dread: Gronkowski "Hoodies might"
2 Revier Squads: Law/ Butler "Hoodies Vengeance"

I plan on painting them up in the same scheme of the Patriots Home Uniforms. White Legs, navy torso. Silver helmets and Red Guns.

The lore behind the chapter reads like tales of legend rarely tasting defeat, they capable of achieving victory when all hope seems lost, able to strike at will with varied strategies, ever adapting and overcoming even impossible odds. They are also known to be devout followers of the Cult of the Hoodie, a secretive organization who's levels of secrecy surpasses that of even the enigmatic Dark Angels. They are a fleet based chapter based on a massive battle barge known as Gillette's Glory. Their battlecry is a simple declaration of intent. "Do your job!"

What do you guys think?

Nothing quite screams Boston wargamer than a sports team painted army. Extra props if you go with turf for your basing, chalk lines and all.

I want to see the Legiones Patriae vs Team Canada Marines smackdown batrep. Make it happen boys.

Also remember that Decal Paper is a thing you can buy that works with any standard inkjet printer, allowing you to make clear transfers of....I don't know, any emblem or symbol you might want...
Game Preferences:
A model may assault upper levels of terrain if they charge far enough to climb them
All current beta rules in effect unless opponent prefers otherwise
I love setting up custom, fluffy scenarios, PM me!

You should do some of the squads in throwback colors.

It's not quite so straight forward as that. But there's a great tutorial here!
