Yeah they're fun to paint, especially once the bases get done and you can glue them in. Val'Rek slotted into that base like it was made for him.

Bases look fantastic. I have a bunch of those and have been slowly rebasing my guys onto them but haven't painted any up yet. I was concerned about the "flatness" of the details but they look good here!

Oh yeah they are great and no issues with details... if you hit them with any sort of metallic color and an Agrax Earthshade wash they really stand out.

Today's work progress: Spent about 4 hours alternating between Vulkan He'stan (Anthony I'm sure you'll be happy to see that he's coming along nicely) and a regular Sergeant/flag bearer.

So Vulkan He'stan is finally done, which was my major project for today. Pretty happy with how he came out, I have to say.

So as of today I now have 3 Salamanders heroes and 4 squaddies done, and I'm right about tuckered out with those guys for a while. I'm taking a break and going back to my Space Wolves for a bit because I have some stuff that needs to get done with the Wolves and has been on the back burner forever. Here's the 4 guys and 3 heroes though:

Just saw Tomas's version of He'Stan, really like his spear! Hopefully we'll be able to run an apocalypse size game of just Salamanders when I get back.

As a minor hijack, here was my copy of He'Stan which I completed right before I left.

Haha, I dunno about that Tom, we'll have to see how much stuff I have with Salamanders. Right now I have 3 heroes and 5 guys done, and the rest I'd have to borrow from my Space Wolves stuff, so let's just see where I'm at when you're back ;)
