It really is amazing how MOAR PAULDRONS can make an IC really stand out.

The paint scheme is excellent in its subtlety and the tacti-cool spec-ops-ey bolters take those sneaky RG to the next level.

Great work.
“Fairy tales do not give the child his first idea of bogey. What fairy tales give the child is his first clear idea of the possible defeat of bogey. The baby has known the dragon intimately ever since he had an imagination. What the fairy tale provides for him is a St. George to kill the dragon.”

For funsies: Predatory names for potential sergeants/Captains/other characters:

Kite
Hawk
Eagle
Falcon
Owl
Osprey
Harrier
Vulture
Buzzard
Caracara

These are all general types and you may want to do some more research on raptors for actual names since Hawks in North America are actually grouped with Buzzards since they're in the same genus.

And then there's the blood drinking Kea parrot of New Zealand, beloved by conservationists, and reviled by shepherds and ranchers who call it the "sheep sucker"

Shadow Sergeant Sheep Sucker perhaps not the most menacing name possible, but fun to say five times fast.
Game Preferences:
A model may assault upper levels of terrain if they charge far enough to climb them
All current beta rules in effect unless opponent prefers otherwise
I love setting up custom, fluffy scenarios, PM me!

I've been painting like a mad man for the past several weeks in prep for 8th! I've managed to get painted to a nice standard so far:

15 Scouts
15 Tactical marines
10 Devestators
2 Captains
1 Librarian
1 Jump Chaplain
10 Vanguard Vets
3 Bikers
1 Landspeeder

I've also magnetized enough stuff to possibly go fully insane... I've just got 2 pods, 2 razorbacks, 2 dreads, and 10 assault marines to go from primed, zenethial lit, and based to fully painted. Getting closer! ( however, I might have taken the bait and bought a primaris half of a starter set... ).

It also looks like from the rules that Captain ShrikeFalconHawk will likely just be counts-as Shrike since he's awesome in 8th and his model is meh.

Here's some of my recent progress:
