I painted a fun little one off project tonight, a Sslyth bodyguard for my Archon. I have one more but I haven't decided what kind of snake he should be, this first one is a coral snake. I thought he turned out to be just an adorable little fellow.

Did some fun backlog stuff this week, some warlocks and Banshees to fill out my 8th Ed craftworld list. I have Banshees from three different eras in one unit, rogue Trader, 2nd Ed and current sculpts.

Random thing for tonight but while visiting my family for Thanksgiving I actually found my first painted 28mm miniature from about 16 years ago. I'd painted 5mm flames of war dudes before that but I had a big zombie phase as a kid, and malifaux had zombies in all shapes and flavors. This is a zombie samurai.

Tonight I finished my first Escher ganger, and I'm planning on using these to see how far I can push high contrast colors. I did my red/orange/yellow blend that I'm comfortable with now on her hair and tabard and went for a new green into yellow blend which came out excellent.

For skin tone I replicated my brick reddish brown tone and tried some basic ink tattoos. Going to need to practice those, luckily I have none more gals.

Second Escher! Ability to paint tattoos is at about 60%. Her stomach and left arm are nice basic blue ink, the dragon sleeve...is at least recognizable upon inspection? Hooray progress!

Third Escher ended up with a slight nautical theme after I decided to go for a far less ambitious tattoo, a cute little octopus.

What a squishy little guy. Her face turned out well too, I tried to kind of draw in some extra features like a jaw line.

Finished my latest Escher ganger "jailbird" with a variety of basic blue prison ink tattoos - a bar code on the far side of her forehead, a basic stripe from her face down to her stomach, wingtips on the backs of her two shoulders and a skull and crossbones over her right hip. Since I went with orange as her primary color I gave her a prisoners serial number as well, just for extra flavor.

I've also finished three more I forgot to post - comms specialist Diana, who has some tribal kill-mark tattoos on her head, Hazard, who's got an Escher symbol on her shoulder, and gang leader Lash, with her nice shiny shock whip.

My last two gang members are done and my Escher crew is complete! Ive also finished my secret Santa project and gotten a start on reconstruction of some secondhand Skitarii. This puts my outstanding project backlog at a paltry 3!
