"Wait...is that right?!" Why not ask? This is the place to share a rules question (or revelation) you learned at the table.

"Boots on the ground" and mission objectives

Postby Anacrucis » Fri Aug 11, 2017 11:59 am

Hi all,

So I was rereading the FAQ ruling on flyers and unoccupied buildings not counting as "on the table" - it seems like this only applies to checking to see if you've been "tabled," and would not apply to mission objectives like we've had for the Konor missions like the line breaker objective in week 1 or the week 2 objective to have a defender unit in its own deploy zone... is this how the rest of us are reading it?

Boots on the Ground only applies to the Sudden Death rule.

The preview of Chapter Approved suggests it will apply to objectives.
Game preferences:
+1 to going first roll if you finish deploying first
All terrain is "statuary"
No First Blood - it's basically a bonus VP for going first
Current Beta rules

Army
4,500 points of Imperial Guard
2,800 of tanks alone

Yeah, GW said that you can't hold an obj from high in airspace. Now hover might change that (cuz you're on the ground) but hovering also makes you a lot more vulnerable and close-combat-able (and you still lose to an ob sec troop choice.
